ISD Alumni Visit

ISD juniors and seniors met Sapphire Faruque, a current student at Brown University, one of eight prestigious Ivy League schools in the United States, on Sunday, 7th March, during their college counseling block.

Sapphire, ISD graduate and the valedictorian from the class of 2018, is doing a double major in Literary Arts and Economics. She has also discussed work experience at Brown as an office assistant and a creative position in media services. ISD students had the opportunity to learn more about Brown’s academic programs, hear advice for students interested in changing their significant major/concentration, resources on campus, housing requirements, clubs, campus communities, and other opportunities to get involved. By hearing from alumni ISD, students gain confidence and comfort with university searches and the transition process. Students are encouraged to join alumni visits shared on Google Calendars. Alumni interested in speaking to current ISD students may contact me at tasnuva.ahmed@isdbd.org.
