G8 Chiang Mai

On a warm evening on March 9th, 4 brave teachers (trip leaders) boarded the bus with 30 hyperactive, chatty, and rambunctious grade 8 students for an adventurous week-long trip to Chiang Mai for their Week Without Walls experience.

The days were long and filled with a variety of stimulating and sometimes difficult challenges. The students learned about taking risks, perseverance, helping one another, being supportive, team work, collaborating on projects, navigation, and the history of the city and places we visited. Perhaps most important of all, was their self-discovery and the growth of their own personal character. It was an amazing trip, one I am sure will result in lifetime memories, friendships, and many a bonding experience. As trip leaders, it was a pleasure (most of the time) to experience this adventure with the students.
