Every year on February 21, we remember and honour the brave souls who sacrificed their lives during the Bengali Language Movement of 1952. Their fight to preserve the right to speak in their mother tongue not only shaped Bangladesh’s history but also inspired the world to value linguistic and cultural diversity. It’s in their memory that UNESCO declared February 21 as International Mother Language Day, reminding us all of the beauty and importance of preserving our languages.

At International School Dhaka, we take a great pride in our rich cultural tapestry, where languages connect us and stories bring us closer. This year, our students have been working hard and passionately to put together a celebration that showcases the vibrancy of languages and the spirit of community. Through heartfelt performances, captivating presentations, and cultural displays, they will remind us of the power of language to unite and inspire.
