Happy Lunar Year (Tue 17 Feb)

ISD will celebrate Chinese New Year on Monday, February 17, with a joyful afternoon of cultural activities, creativity, and tradition for our students.

The celebration will begin with a dragon dance parade from 1:45–2:00 p.m., performed by our middle school students. The parade will start in front of the Admin Office and proceed to the Primary Hall, setting the festive tone for the celebration.

Following the parade, students are invited to take part in the main celebration from 2:00–3:00 p.m. at the Primary Hall, where a variety of hands-on activity stations will be available. These include paper cutting for window decorations, pitch-pot games, play dough dumpling making, lucky red fan drawing, Chinese character printing, zodiac art for the Year of the Horse, and Chinese calligraphy.

Students are encouraged to wear red clothing or traditional Chinese outfits to join the celebration and reflect the spirit of Chinese New Year. Parents and students can find further details in the attached poster and activity information.

We look forward to celebrating culture, creativity, and community as we welcome a new year together.
