The Rise and Shine Grade 12 students began their Rise and Shine service group  journey in Grade 9 (MYP) and have worked in partnership with Abinta Kabir foundation community for the past four years. As their final CAS service action, 10 students led by Faryal, Rafi, Sharika, and Anzaleen visited the Abinta Kabir Education Centre on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, donating a TV, computers, a printer, and cartridges worth BDT 90,000, raised through service markets and personal contributions.

This long-term initiative reflects key IB CAS learning outcomes, including sustained commitment, collaboration, and meaningful engagement with a local community need. The project strongly aligns with ISD values of Responsibility, Awareness, and Kindness, as students took ownership of planning and fundraising, responded thoughtfully to community needs, and demonstrated compassion through action.

We thank Ms. Tahsin, Jordan, and Charles for their guidance and support over the past four years. This visit also marked the handover of the service group to Grade 11 and Grade 10 students, ensuring continuity and sustainability of the partnership.
