Outdoor Playdate in School

Everyone’s lives have been drastically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, including a major impact on students and young people around the world. The ISD Early Years faculty miss having children doing activities in the classroom, but we enjoy having them on campus for playdates.

We were concerned about how we would deal with the closure educational institutions and the return to online classes. We have been fortunate to be able to offer playtime, and the children enjoy their time here. We engage in a variety of outdoor activities daily. We also maintain the school protocols, like washing/sanitizing our hands, keeping physically distant as well as making sure sure all of our children are wearing masks during their playdate time at school.

Playdates enable children to develop social skills as well as important principles like sharing and taking turns. We sit in the sun and read, paint, and do a variety of other activities. Our kids adore their playdates, and we could not be happier to watch them run around freely and take their time sitting in the sun and enjoying the weather.
