Student Representative Council

The Student Representative Council is an integral part of the school system as it forms the bridge between teachers, students and the administration. Initiated by Wasi Khan in August 2005, the SRC has been active in organizing fund raising events in order to engage the school community in positive initiatives, to raise school spirit, to address issues raised by both students and teachers, and to effectively find solutions to their concerns.

The philosophy behind the ISD Student Representative Council is the need to create positive attitude within the student body in school. Through representation, teamwork, compromises and voting, a member of the council has a chance to learn how democracy works and to apply it to everyday school life. Thus, this philosophy improves the school by giving the students a practical place to learn lifetime skills of being leaders and followers in an organized and structured team with unified purpose and goal under a common constitution.
