25 Years of Education Excellence

Our expert teachers bring a wealth of international experience

Our teachers truly understand the needs of their students on all levels – cognitive, social and emotional. They’re experienced professionals who really know their content areas and have a solid grasp of best teaching practices. They are also flexible, collaborative innovators who are enthusiastic about their work and about their students. Many of our teachers are seen as leaders in their field and showcase their expertise with peers from other schools across the world.

A world-renowned curriculum

The International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is the most respected and widely followed academic program in the international school world.  The robust, inquiry-based curriculum spans Early Years to Grade 12, starting with the Primary Years Program (PYP), continuing onto the Middle Years Program (MYP), and concluding with the Diploma Program (DP), which prepares students for the world's best universities.

Top IB College Counselor with International Experience

The College Counseling Office assists students and families in identifying and applying to universities around the world. In Grades 8-12, College Counselors support students in identifying and applying to “best fit” schools. College Counselors can provide career awareness and exploration of various career paths.

Unique international partnerships

At International School Dhaka, we have access to outstanding resources and unique learning opportunities. This is all thanks to the integral role we play in supporting thriving international and local families. Collaborating with leading organizations makes for a very special learning environment for everyone. One that is incredibly rich in both resources and opportunities, which you won’t find elsewhere.

An extensive co-curricular program

Not only do we focus on maintaining high academic standards through our curriculum. Just as important is the development of the whole child. We strive to help students develop in a holistic, balanced way. Sports, performing arts, service learning and student government opportunities are just some of the many ways our young people complement their academic learning, developing a range of life skills along the way.

An internationally-minded community

You’ll hear us talk a lot about community at ISD.  We are an exceptionally diverse and inclusive group of people, representing over 30 nationalities. Students are exposed to a multitude of cultures, customs and ideas. This promotes respect, encourages collaboration and sees our young people develop high levels of empathy and compassion.

Robotics in Education

ISD partners with renowned US college Carnegie Mellon University to bring its world-leading research-backed robotics programme to our school, where Grade 1-10 students work with experts to learn about programming, coding, computational thinking, using Lego and VEX kits.
Students can also take part in the robotic school camps that run throughout the year and receive Carnegie Mellon certification upon successful completion.

Barca Football Academy

ISD partners with Barça Academy, with a goal to grow grassroots football.
We are proud of our international partnership with FC Barcelona which brings Barça Academy, the official football school of FC Barcelona, with presence in 34 countries around the world to Bangladesh.
We launched our first Autumn Training Camp in June 2023, featuring a sell-out crowd of students from ISD and throughout Bangladesh, all of whom benefited from the expert training of Barça Academy coaches. All Training Camps kick off on the exceptional sporting facilities of ISD Field.
