After School Programme

E-mail Print PDF

The ASP begins at the conclusion of the school day. It operates Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It is a programme that is run by ISD staff and offers a wide variety of activities. These range from sporting pursuits, craft activities, recreational pastimes, community service and academic support. It is an optional programme, but well over 75% of students avail themselves of these exciting opportunities. It is broken into three ten week blocks, so students have three chances to make selections per year. It is an excellent foil to the rigours of the academic day and allows students to improve their fitness, meet new friends, see their teachers in a different light or just relieve the tension of the day! Listed below are some examples of the activities offered during the 2007 - 2008 ASP programme for Primary and Secondary students. Please note; Secondary students may access one ASP per day (3.30pm – 4.30pm, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) and Primary students may access two ASP per day (2.30pm – 3.30pm and 3.30 – 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday).
