IB Diploma and College Counselling Issues

Graduation Requirements

Students at ISD can graduate with an ISD High School Diploma in June of Grade 12. The ISD Diploma is a NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) accredited US style High School Diploma. This means that it is recognised world wide. As we are an IB school most, if not all, of our courses are IB courses so the level of academic rigour for our ISD Diploma is fully established and again recognised.

Separate to the school’s ISD Diploma is the IB Diploma which is accredited by the IBO. Students who successfully do three Higher level subjects and three Standard Level subjects from the six Diploma groups plus Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and CAS can graduate with an internationally recognised IB Diploma.
