Philosophy
The philosophy behind the ISD Student Representative Council outlines the need to create positive feelings within the student body in school. Through representation, teamwork, compromise and voting, a member of the council has a chance to learn how democracy works and to apply it to everyday school life. Thus, this philosophy betters the school by giving the students a practical place to learn lifetime skills of being leaders and followers in an organized and structured team with unified purpose and goal under a common constitution.

Purpose
The Student Representative Council is the top-most student representative body of the secondary students at ISD and the link between the students and administration, teachers and parents. Two elected members of the Primary School also sit on this council.
