United Kingdom and Ireland: For many years, the IB Diploma has been accepted for admission purposes. Offer of admission to a certain department within the given university will be made conditional upon the student’s results. Offers are based either on total diploma points or on the results of the three subjects offered at Higher Level. Few universities may accept the ISD Diploma.
Continental Europe: All European countries for entrance into their national universities accept the IB Diploma. Particular mark and subject requirements exist for different university systems and university departments. ISD can obtain details about all these universities and acceptance of the ISD Diploma.
USA: The ISD Diploma is accepted for college entrance in the US. In some cases, a full year of university standing is awarded to IB Diploma holders. Recognizing the high standards of the IB program, admissions officers look favorably on student enrollment in IB courses.
Canada: The IB Diploma is recognized throughout Canada as an admissions credential. Some of the most selective universities may require it for the admission of students who have been studying outside Canada. Entrance at second-year standing for Diploma
